The Flimstone Yurt

'...a very special corner of the world.'

The Yurt is set in the far corner of an orchard and wild flower meadow in a secluded smallholding within 2 miles of Narberth, voted one of Britains top shopping towns. It is a genuine imported Mongolian 'Ger' both a practical and beautiful little home. The multiple layers of sik, cotton, felt and canvas make it luxurious and cosy. When lit at night by candles and warmed by the stove it is a quiet and peaceful haven of comfort and light.

Inside the Yurt there is a double bed and four single futons. There is a cooking area with a calor gas double ring cookstove and grill. A pot bellied charcoal stove in the centre of the yurt will keep everyone cosy and warm. Lighting is supplied by lamps with rechargeable batteries and candles. One minutes walk will take you to a private, fully equipped, heated bathroom and kitchen. Next to the yurt is a picnic table, barbeque and campfire site. All bedding, cooking equipment and firewood is provided.

Flimstone Farm is very easy to find, it is on the A40 between Redstone Cross and Robeston Wathen. Approximately 20 miles west of Carmarthen.

Facilities

The Yurt will sleep 4 to 6, there is a double bed and 4 futons, cupboards and clothes hanging space. Wood stove.

Camp fire site with wood supplied. (This is a camp fire - not a bonfire! please respect our environment at all times, if conditions are dangerously dry we may have to restrict you to the barbeque). Cooking utensils, plates and cutlery.

There is a water tap next to the Yurt, connected to the Flimstone Springs. All water on Flimstone arises from the springs. The springs never run dry, but only run at a certain rate, you have to stagger water use.

A short walk from the Yurt takes you to a shared kitchen and utility room with laundry facilities, cooker and fridge. There is an adjacent covered drying area. The bathroom is centrally heated and fully equipped.
